TOPIC: Internationalization of Higher Education in New Reality

ISW will be implemented in partnership with Cuiavian University in Wloclavek from Poland, New York University in Prague (UNYP) from Prague, University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna from Austria, University of Western Macedonia and International Hellenic University from Greece, University Pontifica de Salamanca from Spain and HITIT University from Turkey.
International Staff Week at GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship will address the much needed topics, relevant to Higher Education Institutions (HEI) Internationalisation Agenda in the times of New Reality. The agenda will feature a set of workshops, round tables and discussions with an additional touristic experience. The International Staff Week is part of Blended Intensive Program under Erasmus+ programme.
Focus points:
- featuring unique course content, providing practical knowledge, skills and innovative practices needed for internationalisation in new reality;
- raising innovativeness and new methods for digital transformation of HEI internationalisation projects;
- presentation of good practices;
- digital transformation, green agenda and inclusiveness agenda;
- comprehensive touristic experience with trips and excursions – exploring Ljubljana and Slovenia.
Who can apply?
Any staff member or lecturer from our Erasmus+ Partner Universites can apply. The agenda of the program is especially designed for International Office Staff. However, all interested candidates, whose work of field is internationalization are welcome. Lecturers can opt to hold additional lectures upon advance notice.

The International Staff Week course content is a 5-day programe (Monday – Friday). However, we have provided you with two additional days for arrival and depature.

Monday, 9.5.2022: INTRODUCTION TO THE TOPIC OF INTERNATIONALIZATION
Skills learned: Understanding the process of internationalization in new reality, shared practices and solving of problems. Brainstorming and implementing the process and new methods for internationalization in HEI.
Tuesday, 10.5.2022: ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN NEW REALITY
Skills learned: Learn how to develop entrepreneurial mindset and a business idea.
Understand the key criteria of digital transformation and the related practices and approaches needed to implement a digital transformation at HEI level.
Wednesday, 11.5.2022: STRATEGY OF INTERNATIONALIZATION IN NEW REALITY
Skills learned: Understand and apply the concepts of strategy of internationalization. Share good practices from your institution and gain additional knowledge on how this is done at other institutions.
Thursday, 12.5.2022:ABSRC CONFERENCE AND TOURISTIC EXPLORING OF LJUBLJANA
Skills learned: The participants can opt-in to join and participate at ABSRC Conference on this day. For more information kindly visit www.absrc.org.
Friday, 13.5.2022: DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HEI
Skills learned: Understand the key criteria of digital transformation and the related practices and approaches needed to implement a digital transformation at HEI level.
Saturday, 14.5.202: Departures
Virtual component will be added to the program. Detailed agenda with timeline will be provided to applicants.

Exploring of Ljubljana and Slovenia
Besides the rich course agenda, participants of the International Staff Week will be exploring also Slovenia and its capital. Ljubljana was crowned with title of Green Capital of 2016 and is a very lovely and charming place. On top of the hill we will visit Ljubljana Castle with its breathtaking view over the whole city. Apart from sightseeing Ljubljana is famous also for its culinary richness. In spring, every friday there is an event called Open Kitchen, where various slovenian restaurants are offering its specialities. It is a must see visit. To get away from city life we will be visiting also slovenian costal towns as well as take you to see island Bled.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT
Minimum number of participants for the International Staff Week 2022 is 15. Should the number or received applications be lower than 15, the organizer may implement the right to change the dates, content or cancel the International Office Week. All candidates will be duly informed on the preparation of the International Staff Week 2022 and any possible alterations.
COVID-19 Clause: The organizer is exercising the right to make all necesarry changes to the content, dates, prices or any other part, important for implementation of the International Staff Week in case of “force majeure” related to COVID-19 situation.
