Through entrepreneurial education, cooperation with the business sector, the creation of a supportive entrepreneurial environment, and research, we empower individuals and the broader society with practical knowledge from various fields.

By 2027, GEA College d.d. will have become an established centre for education, research, training, and support for entrepreneurial individuals and companies in both the Slovenian and international environments.

GEA College will become the optimal choice for diverse Slovenian and international stakeholders, with an emphasis on innovative programmes in the fields of social sciences, technical sciences, and other disciplines, whose transversal competence is the entrepreneurial mindset. GEA College will stand out in the field of interactive programmes delivery through the use of modern ICT tools. The programmes and services will be suitable for a variety of target groups, with the main focus being the satisfaction of all stakeholders. Through its operations, the organization will influence the awareness of society regarding the importance of entrepreneurship and sustainability.

At GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship, we educate all knowledge-seeking individuals from Slovenia and abroad who desire practical and functional knowledge in business, technical, and other sciences. The emphasis is on strengthening the entrepreneurial mindset as a transversal and universally applicable competence of the 21st century, enabling individuals to positively influence the development of entrepreneurial dynamics and economic growth.

Using modern approaches and a strong focus on fostering entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurial mindset, we educate students and individuals interactively across business, technical, and other study programmes. We develop and update programmes in accordance with market dynamics, scientific advancements, and successful international cooperation. We continuously strive for pedagogical excellence and high-quality education, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with the business sector. We are committed to a long-term, sustainability-oriented business and learning model, continually striving to contribute to the development of a better, more ethical, and more promising entrepreneurial and broader economic culture.

By 2027, GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship will become the first choice for business education in Slovenia, the Balkans, and Central Europe. It will also be the leading choice for education, research, and training for dedicated students, researchers, institutions, and other curious individuals in both domestic and international environments. We will focus on designing and delivering relevant study programmes that align with labour market needs. We will cover key areas of social sciences, technical sciences, and other disciplines, whose transversal competencies are entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset. Our study programmes and extracurricular activities will stand out through interactive delivery using modern ICT tools and a student-centred approach. We will aim for continuous development of traditional and distance learning programmes in both Slovenian and English. Our work will be guided by excellence, quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and graduate employability.

GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship will be the first choice for entrepreneurial-minded individuals seeking high-quality business and technical education.

GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship (FP) is a specialised private business school that provides high-quality, practice-oriented education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The school develops modern teaching methods and fosters excellence in teaching. The entire study programme is characterised by its connection with practice, ensuring the applicability and relevance of acquired theoretical knowledge. FP places great emphasis on maintaining strong ties with small and medium-sized enterprises both domestically and internationally and collaborates with globally recognised, entrepreneurship-focused schools. In the 2004/2005 academic year, FP enrolled its first cohort of international undergraduate entrepreneurship students in the region, a programme that continues in the 2022/23 academic year. The international programme is conducted in English. Lectures at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels are delivered by renowned domestic and foreign higher education lecturers.

  • Developing teaching excellence and utilising new teaching methods, instructional approaches, and study formats supported by modern technological solutions and models.

GEA College - Centre of Higher Vocational Schools (FAQ)

We focus on practice-oriented education for enterprising individuals.

We are distinguished by a practical approach to education that empowers students to perform applied professions with quality, emphasising an entrepreneurial mindset.

With carefully selected lecturers from the field, we provide high-quality and interactive delivery of current higher vocational programmes for part-time students. We ensure students receive practical and applicable knowledge, further enhanced by encouraging the development of proactive approaches and an entrepreneurial mindset. All this contributes to increased student satisfaction and employability. We strive for sustainable and international operations.

GEA College – CHVS will be the most desirable and recognised higher vocational school, expanding its activities both domestically and internationally with new, relevant programmes.

By 2027, we will stand out among higher vocational education providers in Slovenia through a well-thought-out implementation and carefully selected lecture content, excellent lecturers from practice, and active teaching methods with students. Additionally, we will offer new, relevant programmes in close cooperation with the business sector, GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship, and the supportive environment.

For the period until 2027, GEA College – Centre of Higher Vocational Schools has identified eight fundamental strategic development directions. These directions are based on insights from strategic workshops, meetings, and consultations with representatives of the Strategic Council and the Quality Commission. They are aligned with the mission and vision, as well as the directions of other GEA College units, particularly GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship.

Strategic guidelines of GEA College – CHVS for the period until 2027 are:

  • Unique and high-quality implementation of higher vocational programmes with highly professional and didactically trained lecturers, closely connected with the business sector.
  • Building a culture of excellence and belonging among employees, lecturers, students, and other stakeholders.
  • Development of private higher vocational programmes and other complementary training and education programmes based on market needs (e.g., specialisation, etc.).
  • Development of a relevant secondary school programme.
  • Establishing an international higher vocational school system and expanding operations to foreign markets.
  • Strong ties with GEA College – Faculty of Entrepreneurship, enabling students to continue their studies in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Strategic partnerships with representatives of economic sectors in the region (companies, organisations, associations).
  • Strategic partnerships with representatives of the support environment (Ministry, Nakvis, Community, CPI, and other support organisations).

We recognise the potential of business ideas and provide a high-quality supportive environment for everyone who wishes to realise their entrepreneurial vision and enter domestic or international markets.

Through top-tier mentoring, consulting, and educational programmes, we enable the acquisition of knowledge and relevant business connections for those who want to establish and/or grow their company. All our activities are directed towards enterprising individuals who can incubate their ideas or businesses. In the broader environment, we foster and promote an entrepreneurial mindset and engage with high school students, university students, graduates, educators, and anyone willing and daring to think entrepreneurially.

Within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the GEA College Incubator will, by 2027, be recognised as the leading choice for seeking entrepreneurial support and spreading the entrepreneurial mindset among potential incubatees and the wider society.

 

The GEA College Incubator continues to transfer entrepreneurial knowledge and mindset to high schools, tertiary education programmes, businesses, and public institutions. It strives for close collaboration with all organisations that support and develop entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset.

Strategic directions of the GEA College Incubator for the period until 2027 are:

  • Development of an incubation programme.
  • Development of an entrepreneurial hub connecting incubatees with the market.
  • Promotion of the incubation and entrepreneurship programme both domestically and internationally.
  • Strengthening connections with diverse stakeholders in the field of entrepreneurship and the promotion of an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Applying for domestic, European, and other international tenders in the field of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Encouraging students to enter the incubator and integrating incubated companies into the study process of all GEA College programmes.
  • Strengthening cooperation with high schools and other tertiary education providers to promote entrepreneurship and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Marketing workshops, training sessions, and consulting services to interested stakeholders.
