At the end of March, GEA College participated in two short-term international exchanges – in Norway and France. Our students tackled real-life business challenges and gained invaluable experience in an international environment.
The only Slovenian faculty at Trade Mission Week in Bergen

Ten GEA College students traveled to Bergen, where they represented three Slovenian companies as part of the Trade Mission project. The event was organized in collaboration with 15 European universities of applied sciences under the Businet network. It gave students the opportunity to engage in consulting and identify new business opportunities for Slovenian companies.
Their tasks were strategically defined:
- For the company EQUA, they conducted market research and explored opportunities to enter prestigious concept stores in Bergen.
- For Néa Maliá, they investigated possibilities for expanding the sales network in Norway, focusing on hair salons where their products could become part of professional hair care.
- In collaboration with Forcap, they presented an innovative IT solution for the hospitality industry to key players in the sector.

A 360-Degree Marketing Strategy for Disneyland Paris
We also had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Businet HedCom conference in Paris, where our students worked with Disneyland Paris to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy.
Five students joined the short-term exchange along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laura Fink, who served as a tutor to an international student group.
Paris, the city of love, turned into a city of opportunity for our students.
On the first day, Disneyland Paris surprised them with park tickets, allowing them to experience the magic firsthand—an experience that inspired their creative strategy development.

In just four days, they had to create and present their strategy. On the final day, they pitched their ideas to a professional jury from Disneyland Paris, made up of their marketing experts.
Success followed – two teams that included our students won third place!
- Prof. Fink mentored one of the teams,
- Student Aleks Hunt Vodopivec participated in another team,
- And second place was awarded to a team that included our postgraduate student, Amaris Djordjević.
We are proud of our students who proved they can thrive in international environments and who left a mark beyond Slovenia’s borders with their creativity and business acumen.
