Study in the USA

THIS IS WHAT STUDYING IN THE USA LOOKS LIKE

23. 04. 2025

Jure Vrečar, a third-year student, received a unique opportunity to experience the American style of studying at the prestigious Northwood University in Michigan.

The exchange in the United States is part of the partnership with Northwood University, Michigan. It is an exceptional opportunity offered to GEA College students for the first time.

Journal from Michigan

Jure will present his study experience in the USA through photos and writings, and today he shares his first update, one month after starting his studies at the university in the USA.

“When I decided to go on exchange to Northwood University in Michigan, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – I just knew I wanted to experience life and studying in the USA firsthand. After one month here, I can say that it was one of my best decisions.

Every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow. Northwood and GEA College have a lot in common, as both emphasize connections with the economy and free markets. This shared vision allowed me to adapt quickly and feel at home in a new environment.

The campus is surrounded by nature, and everything I need is within easy reach. The classrooms, living spaces, and dining hall are conveniently close, which allows me to balance my studies and free time effortlessly. This gives me the perfect balance between studying and relaxation.

I use my weekends to explore the natural beauty of Michigan, such as stunning lakes, beaches, and forests. In addition, I’ve met many people from all over the world, which broadens my horizons and creates new friendships.

This is just the beginning – it’s only been a month, and I know there’s still so much more to come. So, stay tuned for new updates where I’ll share even more of my experiences!”
